Nityananda Arogya Dham is a Ayurvedic Treatment and Rejuvenation Center started for the health and well being of people of all classes. It is precisely set up here in the village named Bevinkoppa in Bailhongal Taluka of Karnataka State in South India because of the conducive environment for natural healing and rehabilitation. Natural healing because this is a gifted land of great mystics and seers, where once dwelled many great beings with extraordinary human abilities in the field of mental and physical well being. This is where even an ashram of Parabrahma Nityananda was also established by Swami Vijayananda, who is the founder of Nityananda Arogya Dham. Many natural healings have taken place here as thousands visit this ashram every year for seek of solace, peace, health and other seeking – spiritual or materialistic.
With Swamiji’s profound interest in Ayurveda or other natural healing modalities, which he received from his teachers and Gurus, he took up the mission of setting up a rejuvenation center and thus founded the Nityananda Arogya Dham, which is today run by qualified doctor and therapists. Swamji was always backed by one of the prime disciple of Parabrahma Nityananda named Karunakar Swami, who lived in the slums of Mumbai until his last. He was a great mystic, who had gift of visioning the past, present and future of anyone. In his presence many people were healed. Multitudes received advices and solace from him. Swami Karunakar had envisioned the building of Nityananda Arogya Dham, and also sent across his divine gift of a spatik Shivalinga that is installed in the premise of the Nityananda Arogya Dham. He had promised that he would grace the healings of those coming here and this Shivalinga was thus established here as Nityeshwara Linga.
This piece of land was amidst the farms and there was a huge doubt of something like this coming up here because Health Centers need roads, electricity, water and other needs, but this land was amidst farms and fields with no roads and other facilities. However, as forevisioned, the project was initiated by Swami Vijayananda and very soon mysteriously everything fell in place. Water came up in just a few meters, electricity supply was facilitated, funds spontaneously gathering for the building and equipments, and even a Minister’s visit in the village facilitated a road right from front of this center, thus connecting it well from both ends.
Swami Vijayananda overlooked the entire project and mysteriously donors and supporters along with the necessary staff and attendants turned up timely. People began coming for their treatments along with meditators who continued to use this place for their physical rejuvenation.
Swami ji has termed this place to be a Health and WellBeing Rejuvenation Center and not a ‘hospital’ because even though treatment is given here, the term hospital is what makes the participant feel like a patient, whereas Nityananda Arogya Dham (dham means place of living) gives a homely feeling to the participant, thus making him feel at home. The conducive environment, the simple and helpful staff and the non-complicated processes of treatment along with good homely food prepared by the village folks, ensures that one feel at home.
Nityananda Arogya Dham functions under the ashram trust registered as Nityananda Seva Samithi Trust, which is presided by Swami Vijayananda.
